More musing on the Abyss

In my previous blogs, I have spoken about staring into the Abyss.  That sometimes when you stare long enough, the Abyss also stares back into you.

Yet how many have the true courage to confront what the abyss sees in yourself? how many of us are truly capable of accepting us for who we really are.  Without the flash exterior or fake smiles, without the misguided perceptions and hidden agendas.  our personalities… the malice and greed, the sins spoken in hush tones around the bible camps.  How many of us could truly see ourselves for what we are… and accept. Then, how many others would see that bleak existence and accept?  Further more, how many would not simply accept but embrace?

That is one of the questions which have plagued my mind for the past few month.  It is one thing to accept what you can not change, but another to embrace it. When even yourself refuse to embrace the face staring back at you in a mirror, how then do you expect, or even believe another to embrace.  When there is nothing but emptiness, how then do you find the courage to seek? When there is nothing there, what would it take to find its existence…

Is love simply a form of faith?  and is that faith enough? When love over runs logic, will I finally learn to have faith?
